Tile Time

The tile has been installed. We are just waiting for grout. When Kristen was asked what color she would like for grout, she said, "dirt." It makes easier to clean I suppose.
.
Here is the kitchen.
.
The hallway looking toward the kitchen from the side door.
.
The basement entry. We actually think we will remove the last row of tiles in order to make more room for the carpet area.
.
Main bathroom.
.
The shower is prepped for vertical tile.

Trim and doors removed. New trim and doors are coming.

Remember this floor upstairs. I just remember plopping Kerplunk marbles down the cracks onto Mom and Dad's bed.

Don't Panic!

Don't Panic! Sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better. In order to improve the kitchen and bathroom they had to be destroyed first.
.
The kitchen is prepped for new cabinets.
.
View of the kitchen looking to the front room.
.
We will have the siding here match the front wall.
.
The shower will no long have the 6 inch shelf digging into your shoulder.
.
The bathroom floor. It looks in pretty good shape. We now need to fit a slightly larger tub, a toilet and a new vanity/sink.
.
The toilet seems to be the only thing that was leaking much, and only just a little.

Possible Lighting

.
The following lights are the current ideas we have for the cabin. We would love your input. Please submit comments and suggestions now or forever hold your peace.
.
Maybe two of these in the front room. We have also considered ceiling fans with lights, but haven't found one we like yet.
.
.
Wall sconce #1.
.
.
Wall sconce #2.
.
.
Wall sconce #3.
.
.
Flush mount. For basement ceiling lights.
.
.
Ceiling light for kitchen.
.
.
Outdoor light. Probably on the deck.
.
.
Outdoor light. Probably two of these in the carport with a motion sensor.
.
Please let us know which wall sconce you like best. Some will be needed in the 3 bedrooms, the wall by the laundry, and the inside front wall. We could use all the same or mix and match. Also, the outdoor lights on the deck and carport could match or be switched.
